HKL-2000 License Policy for Academic UsersThe HKL-2000 package is available to academic and commercial users. Both types of users are subject to an end-user license agreement and a license fee. The information on this page is intended for non-commercial users at universities, governmental entities or academic non-profit institutions. An academic non-profit institution is defined by its mission: research in the public domain and education. A non-profit organization that performs research as a service under contract to a commercial entity does not belong to the category of non-commercial users (as clarified below) and should review "Commercial Users" page.
The HKL-2000 can be obtained for both in-house and synchrotron data. Permanent License
The license fee for the HKL-2000 depends on the home detector/goniostat type (both new licenses and upgrades).
A single license allows installing the software on up to 10 computers under the same operating system. The computers have to be on the academic computer network and have static IP addresses. The package is distributed in form of the compiled executables. The supported operating systems are listed at Hardware/OS page.
The license allows using of the HKL-2000 program for processing of the synchrotron data. Presently there is no additional charge for it. Users without home detector may purchase a license, which allows using the program for data collected at any synchrotron facility where the HKL-2000 is installed.
To request a quotation for an upgrade from HKL license to HKL-2000 please submit the Form (1).
To request a quotation for the new license, please use the Form (2). Users without home detector may request a quotation for using the HKL-2000 program for data collected at synchrotron facilities through Form (3). A license for HKL-2000 may be released free of charge to academic users who
